Blood Drive benefits patients

The joint Our Lady of Sorrows and American Red Cross blood drive on May 18 was deemed a success by organizers. Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 4304 reported that 36 units of blood were collected. They cooked a hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, and biscuits and gravy for donors and their families. Due to the decline of blood donations during the summer months, the Red Cross expressed gratitude for the parish’s support and for the large numbers of donors.
