The Courts and Councils of Zone 4 of the Knights of Peter Claver Gulf Coast District hosted the 78th district conference in Birmingham May 1-3. The St. Cecilia Court and Archbishop Thomas J. Toolen Council of Birmingham, the St. Jude Court and Msgr. John J. Raliegh Council of Montgomery, the St. Franics of Assisi Court and Sir Charles T. Smoot Council of Huntsville, the Father Edgar Ryan Court and Council of Birmingham, and the Father Manuel Williams Court and Council of Montgomery worked to make the conference a success. The conference’s theme was “Claverism and the Holy Spirit: The Force that Moves You.” Father Vernon Huguley, the district’s chaplain, hosted the conference Mass at his parish, St. Peter the Apostle in Hoover. Bishop Raica also joined the conference to deliver remarks.
