St. John Paul II Catholic High School’s (JPII) Noah's TARC, the JPII rocket team captained by Catherine Hare, Class of 2023, and Sophia Damen, Class of 2025, finished 3rd in the nation out of 798 teams from 45 states at the world’s largest student rocketry competition – the 2023 American Rocketry Challenge in The Plains, Virginia. Falcon Rocketeers, the other JPII rocket team, had some technical difficulties but still managed to finish in 37th place out of 798 teams. Noah's TARC team consists of Catherine Hare, Zoey Jones, Katie Lowe, Julian Lowe, Alex Dobbins, Sophia Damen, and Victoria Quintero. The Falcon Rocketeers consists of Caden Hastings, Rowan Smith, Fox Smith, Juliet Spradlin, Sirisha Chennupati, Stephen Hibbs, and Cale Stewart.
