Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Parish in Pell City recently held Vacation Bible School, with the theme, “True North.” The children “journeyed through the wilds of Alaska, experiencing the wonderful Aurora Borealis learning that the real True North is Jesus.” Sonya Lewis stepped in to lead the week, which boasted over 30 children each night. Others helping make the week a success included 10 adults and 12 teens. Father Bill Lucas, pastor, and seminarian Matthew Pickard also spent time with the children during the week of “games, imagination stations, Bible adventures, and dinners.” To learn more about the annual offering, please call the parish at 205.525.5161.
