Thursday, November 3

Praise & Worship Night at JCCHS

All are welcome to take part in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with live praise and worship music led by John Carroll Catholic High School students and sponsored by the diocesan Office of Youth Ministry. The evening, which will be held in the gym, will begin at 7 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m. Registration for the event is not required. The school is located at 300 Lakeshore Parkway in Birmingham.


Sunday, November 6

Cavalier Preview Day Open House

Prospective students (5th-11th grade) and their families are invited John Carroll Catholic High School for an open house from 1-3 p.m. Student ambassadors, faculty, staff, coaches, and alumni will be on hand for tours of the school. Come see why John Carroll is flourishing. The school is located at 300 Lakeshore Parkway in Birmingham.


Sunday, November 6

Pre-groundbreaking Reception

Holy Family Catholic School in Huntsville will hold a pre-groundbreaking reception at 3 p.m., hosted by Father Joe Lubrano, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church; Bruce Taylor, School Board president; and James Bell, Holy Family principal. The ceremony will start in the school cafeteria where the Holy Family School Choir will sing. From there, ambassadors will lead attendees on a guided tour of the school. Refreshments will be served in St. Francis Hall. Parishioners and parents will also be available to share what makes Holy Family School a great family choice. The school is located at 2300 Beasley Avenue in Huntsville.


Wednesday, November 9

Fall Carnival

St. William Catholic Church in Guntersville will hold a Fall Carnival from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Foley Center. The carnival will feature food, bingo, inflatable, games, and prizes. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit those wishing to attend World Youth Day 2023. The church is located at 929 Gunter Avenue.


Thursday, November 10

St. Bernard Prep to host open house

St. Bernard Abbey and Prep School invites the faithful to participate in an open house from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Families will have the opportunity to see the school in action as well as meet students, faculty, and staff. St. Bernard is Alabama’s only Catholic boarding school, offering a college preparatory curriculum for students in grades 7-12. To RSVP, please call 256-739-6682. Veteran's Appreciation Assembly

John Carroll Catholic High School will be hosting a Veteran's Appreciation Assembly starting at 9:15 a.m. All Cavalier alumni, as well as parents and grandparents of current students, who have served or who are currently serving our country are invited to attend this special event. Major Michael Brimage ('00) will be the keynote speaker. Those interested in attending should contact alumni director Mike Bouton at mbouton@jcchs.org.

Discover St. Francis Xavier Catholic School

St. Francis Xavier Catholic School in Birmingham will be observing "Discovering Catholic Schools Week" from Nov. 14-18, starting at 8:30 a.m. each day and concluding at 2:30 p.m. Tours of the campus will be available as well as opportunities to observe a class. Christ the King Fest

The Diocese of Birmingham is excited to announce the very first one-of-a-kind Catholic music festival! The festival will feature four headliner bands, adoration under the stars with Bishop Raica, optional overnight camping, and a sunrise Mass. All - young adults, teens, and parents - are welcome to John Carroll Catholic High School for 24 straight hours of praise, worship, adoration, confessions, food, games, overnight campout, sunrise Mass and more! Saturday, November 19

55th Annual Turkey Shoot

The Knights of Columbus of St. Florian will hold their youth friendly 55th annual turkey shoots on Nov. 19 and Dec. 17. Each event will start at 7 a.m. and run until there are no more participants. Breakfast and lunch concessions will be offered. Shotgun, .22cal rifle, and .22cal pistol rounds are available. Ham rounds are also available.
