Seminarian Dinner
Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Huntsville will host the first annual Diocese of Birmingham Seminarian Dinner at 6:30 p.m. in support of the diocese’s Seminarian Education Fund. Seminarians of the diocese and Bishop Raica will be the honored guests. All are invited to attend the inaugural event. Tickets for the general public are $125 per person, but please note that only 232 tickets are available. For more information, please e-mail kgordon1775@gmail.com. Transitional Diaconate ordination
John Paul Stepnowski and Andrew Vickery will be ordained to the transitional diaconate at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi University Parish in Tuscaloosa by Bishop Raica. All are welcome to come and support the two men as they embark on the next step of their journey of service to the Church. St. Francis of Assisi is located at 811 5th Avenue. ARISE Night of Healing
All are invited to the Our Lady of Sorrows Family Life Center at 6:30 p.m. for a special ARISE Night of Healing led by the members of the Cenacolo Community, which ministers primarily to those struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. Bishop Emeritus Robert J. Baker will offer opening remarks, followed by three men sharing personal testimony to the freedom they’ve found in Christ. Afterward, there will be a Eucharistic holy hour with confessions and personal prayer teams available. Come and bring a friend! The church is located at 1728 Oxmoor Road in Homewood.

Padre Pio Prayer Group
The Padre Pio Prayer group will meet at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood. All are welcome to join the group for an hour of prayer, the Rosary, adoration, and Holy Mass led by Father Bryan Jerabek. I Love America Concert
St. Aloysius Catholic Church will host a patriotic concert at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate our country’s independence. The Hueytown American Legion Post 1228 will present the Colors and Service Flags from each branch of the military, including the POW. Members of the St Aloysius Choir, the Waylighters Gospel Quartet, and The Crimson Pride will perform songs including “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “America the Beautiful,” “God Bless America,” and “God Bless the U.S.A.” The church is located at 751 Academy Drive in Bessemer. Solemnity of the Sacred Heart and the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
The Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary will mark the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart and the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary with two Masses. On June 27 at 7 p.m., the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hoover, followed by Eucharistic adoration until midnight . The next day at 8 a.m., the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Gardendale. All are invited.
