The Diocese of Birmingham will host the 2023 Diocesan Women's Conference - Mary: The Gate to Heaven at Prince of Peace Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. – noon. Holy Family Soiree
Holy Family Regional Catholic School in Huntsville will hold their biggest fundraiser of the year from 6-10 p.m. The newly named Holy Family Soiree is a silent auction event and provides an opportunity for many to support the school. Tickets for the event are $85 each or $125 for a couple. Tickets include dinner, beverages, live entertainment, and a raffle entry. Cursillo School of Leaders
The diocesan Cursillo movement will host its monthly School of Leaders meeting from 9:30-11:30 a.m. This month's meeting will be held in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Parish Hall. The Cursillo School of Leaders (SoL) is for cursillistas who wish to serve and strengthen the movement. The school is currently studying and discussing various chapters of the Leaders’ Manual. St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Bessemer will host a Pre-Lenten Rosary Prayer Service for an end to gun violence in our communities starting at 11 a.m. Guest speakers will be Daniel McCormick, diocesan director of religious education, and Rev. Priesthood Discernment Weekend
The Office of Vocations will host a Priesthood Discernment Weekend at Casa Maria Retreat Center in Birmingham. Father Kevin Bazzel will lead this weekend of prayer, talks, and fellowship for men discerning a call to priesthood. Father Wyman Vintson, vocation director, will be present to answer questions about discernment, the application process, and seminary life. This weekend experience is for men ages 18-35 years. All parish catechetical leaders, directors of religious education, and youth ministers are invited to come together for a weekend of rest and rejuvenation spent in prayer and fellowship. Lenten Fish Fry
The Prince of Peace Catholic Church Knights of Columbus will sponsor a Friday fish fry from Feb. 24 through March 31 at the church in Deasy Hall from 6-7:30-p.m. There is no charge; however, a free will offering is appreciated. Plan to stay after dinner to play Bingo!

Fish Fry
Knights of Columbus Council 3989 will hold their first Fish Fry at St. Joseph Regional Catholic School, beginning at 4:15 p.m. and ending at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 4-6 and will be available in the school cafeteria. The menu for dine in or carry out includes catfish filets, hush puppies, cole slaw, baked potatoes, French fries, and dessert. Cheese pizza will be available for children. All proceeds go to the council’s charity endeavors. The school is located at 115 Plum Street in Florence. The remaining fish fry dates are March 10 and 24.

Men’s Lenten Retreat
All men of the Diocese of Birmingham are invited to St. Mark the Evangelist’s 5th annual Men’s Lenten Retreat in the Parish Social Hall, starting at 8 a.m. with a Continental breakfast. Father Kevin Bazzel will be the speaker and facilitator. Lunch will be provided, and the retreat will conclude at 2 p.m. Come and jump start your Lenten journey to Easter. The diocese will hold the Rite of Election at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Huntsville, starting at 10 a.m. During the Rite of Election, catechumens indicate their desire to join the Church by signing the Book of the Elect.
