A shrine of love to Our Lady of Guadalupe
Parishioners of Resurrection Chapel in Moulton used their time and talent to create a shrine to Our Lady of Guadalupe in preparation of the Dec. 12 feast. Alma Delia Gomez Hernandez, Jose Manuel Aguilar Solano, Angelica Gomez Hernandez, Jacobo Domingez, and Demetrio Gomez Rendon worked with soft colors, flowing drapery, and an abundance of roses to recall the Blessed Mother’s miraculous appearance on Tepeyac Hill, symbolizing hope, humility, and divine love. Deacon Rick Chenault, administrator of the chapel, noted: “This shrine was not merely a display—it was a prayer made visible, a testament to the faith that lives within our chapel community, and a reminder that when we offer even the work of our hands to God, He multiplies it into something beautiful. … Our Lady of Guadalupe holds a very special place in the hearts of our Resurrection Chapel family. She is our Mother, our intercessor, and a constant reminder that God sees, hears, and remains close to His people. Just as she appeared to St. Juan Diego with tenderness and compassion, she continues to draw us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ, through her gentle presence and maternal care.”
