Parishioners of Prince of Peace Catholic Parish in Hoover brought their beloved pets to the church to be blessed on Sunday, Oct. 4, in celebration of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Large and small, leashed and crated, these loving creatures were so well behaved and obviously well loved by their owners. Father Jon Chalmers, Father Jose Luis Guevara, Father Ray Dunmyer, and Deacon Rick DiGiorgio delivered the blessings to the canines and felines and a few guinea pigs as well.
